Police in Newark recovered several weapons at the scene of a wild and violent altercation that ended in a person being stabbed in the city’s South Ward this evening.
Officers set up a crime scene at an address in the 200 block of Chadwick after they arrived and found an unidentified person suffering multiple stab wounds.
Police say that at the chaotic scene, a gun and knives were found in plain sight.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in an unknown condition while officers took a suspect into custody.
Authorities said the motive for the attack is under investigation at this time.
