Green Twp. Man Pleads Guilty to Aggravated Assault on NJ State Troopers

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 16, 2018 by Gregory L. Ensel.

 

According to authorities, Ensel, 36, of Green Township, pled guilty to Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI, both crimes of the fourth degree.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for November 30, 2018.

 

The defendant admitted to assaulting New Jersey State Troopers when they responded to a call concerning the defendant on a trespassing complaint.  He also admitted to driving while his license is suspended for a second or subsequent DWI. 

 

Officials say Ensel was represented by Joseph Corazza, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
