Graffiti Found on Business in Branchburg Not Gang Related Police say

BRANCHBURG TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor announced an investigation into an incident of criminal mischief that occurred in Branchburg Township.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that on June 8, at approximately 2:22 P.M., Branchburg Township Police responded to a business on Route 202 in reference to the report of graffiti.

According to Somerset County officials, detectives responded to the scene and located the graffiti.

Police say the graffiti, which consisted of five undecipherable "bubble" type letters and the number "13", was photographed and later sent to numerous recognized experts in the graffiti field.

The graffiti was determined not to be gang affiliated, according to Somerset County officials.

Officials say the matter is still under investigation.
