Governor Murphy Issues State of Emergency for Pending Snowstorm

New Jersey Transit has suspended rail service statewide on Monday except for in Atlantic City after Governor Murphy issued a State of Emergency beginning 7 p.m. tonight.   

According to the National Weather Service, Snow is beginning to move in through the day.   

Expect mostly light snow, but precipitation should become more steady and widespread this evening.   

Mixing with sleet and rain primarily for areas along and south of the Route 95 corridor will start tonight.

Forecasters expect about two feet of snow in parts of New Jersey.
