Police in Glen Ridge are searching for two suspects involved in an overnight home-invasion robbery in the township.
Shortly before 3:00 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a residence on Ridgewood Avenue following a report of a burglary.
Upon arrival, police learned that two individuals had entered the home in an apparent attempt to obtain the key to a Range Rover, which also contained the vehicle owner’s cell phone.
According to initial reports , the phone is now pinging in the area of 3rd Avenue and 10th Street in the City of Newark.
Newark Police have been notified.
The incident remains under investigation. At this time, it is not yet clear whether the vehicle was taken from the residence.
