Glassboro Man Wanted for 2019 Vehicular Homicide

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with locating Robert Gunn Jr., 47, of Hackensack, N.J. for allegedly driving under the influence during a crash that killed Polly Tornari, 51, and seriously injured Mr. Robert Tornari, 52, both of Glassboro, N.J.

According to N.J. State Police officials, on September 28, 2019, detectives with the State Police Fatal Accident Investigation Unit determined that Gunn was driving a Dodge Ram 3500 north on County Route 635 in Upper Pittsgrove Township, Salem County.

Offcials say, based on the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that in the area of milepost 5, Gunn entered the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Hyundai Elantra occupied by Polly and Robert Tornari.

Polly was pronounced dead at the scene, and Robert was transported to Cooper University Hospital in serious condition.

During the ongoing investigation, detectives determined that Gunn was under the influence at the time of the crash and charged him with vehicular homicide on June 16.

According to State Police, Gunn was last seen on February 10, in Maricopa County, AZ. He is well known throughout the boxing industry and is known to travel frequently. Detectives believe he may also be working as an independent contractor.
