Police announced today the arrest of a 60-year-old Toms River man after three girls reported seeing him masturbating in a wooded area of a local park as they rode their bikes.
On Wednesday July 1, Toms River Police Detective Jennifer Grob charged a 60-year-old Toms River Man with lewdness in the presence of minors.
The arrest stems from an incident on that date in which three girls, between the ages of 13 and 14, were riding their bikes in a wooded section of Riverwood Park located off of Whitesville Road in the North Dover section of the township.
The three children realized that a man was nearby and they observed that his pants were down and he was masturbating. The girls jumped off of their bikes and ran to a nearby neighborhood where they came upon a man who was doing irrigation work in the area. They told him what happened and he immediately phoned the police.
The officers arrived and located John Bosak, of Toms River, in the main lot of the park seated in a 2014 Hyundai Sonata near the playground.
Bosak was arrested and charged with a criminal act of lewdness.
