George Washington Bridge Crash Kills One in Fort Lee

An early morning crash on the George Washington Bridge killed an occupant of a vehicle, authorities said.

According to police, a tractor trailer and another vehicle collided sometime around 2 a.m. on the upper level of the eastbound lanes.

Upon arrival, two people trapped inside the vehicle had to be removed. 

They were taken to the hospital, where on of the occupants succumbed to his injuries just hours later.

The upper level lanes reopened sometime after 8 a.m. 

No words on whether the driver of the tractor trailer suffered any injuries.
