Garfield Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Two Teens

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Goody Sotomayor-Gamarra, 25, of Garfield, on charges of sexual assault.

According to authorities, on Jan. 22nd, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted by the New York City Police Department and advised that two juvenile females disclosed that they were sexually assaulted by Sotomayor-Gamarra. An investigation by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Englewood Police Department ensued.

As a result of the investigation, Sotomayor-Gamarra was arrested on Tuesday in Paramus and charged with two counts of sexual assault, a 2nd degree crime.

Sotomayor-Gamarra was lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending his arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
