**UPDATE 5:05 a.m. All lanes have been reopened.**
NJ State Police Troopers are on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on a highway in Essex County at this time.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 3:55 a.m, police closed all northbound lanes on the Garden State Parkway -just north of exit 144 in Irvington- after three cars crashed on the highway.
Police say emergency responders extricated victims from at least one of the vehicles, but there were no fatalities immediately reported.
Police advise commuters to avoid that portion of the highway as Troopers continue investigating the cause of the crash and cleaning up after the collision.
