Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. today for a man that was found dead in the city's North ward early Saturday morning.
The body of Richard Marrero 22, of Garfield will be laid to rest immediately after his funeral service that will be held at the Iglesia Evangelica Libre De church located at 370 North 5th Street in the city's North Ward.
Early Saturday morning, police responded to reports of an injured person on Lincoln Avenue between Chester Avenue and Delevan Street at around 5 a.m. where they reportedly found Marrero laying in the street fatally injured.

A preliminary report by authorities had the Merrero fatally struck by a vehicle but an official cause of death has not been release by authorities.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is handling the investigation.
