Fugitive Apprehended in Pennsylvania for Explicit Contact of NJ Girl He Met Online

Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay reported that a fugitive charged with sexually assaulting a child in Pine Hill was apprehended in Pennsylvania this morning. 

Officials said in a statement that Shane Hennesy, 22, of Newton Square, PA, was taken into custody at approximately 6:00 a.m. Friday in Morgantown, PA.  

Police charged Hennesy on February 20, 2025, with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, second-degree Sexual Assault, and two counts of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor for crimes he is alleged to have committed against a 12-year-old girl in Pine Hill between December 2024 and January 2025 after the two met online.

Police say Hennesy will be remanded to the Berks County Jail in Pennsylvania, pending extradition to New Jersey.
