Frosty Sunday Morning Across North Jersey, But Sunshine Will Bring a Nice Warmup

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

We are waking up to a frosty and cold Sunday morning across Newark and much of the North Jersey region, but some beautiful sunshine will help warm things up as the day moves along.

Good morning, New Jersey, and welcome to Sunday!

If you’re heading out early to your house of worship or just getting your Sunday started, you’ll definitely want to bundle up.

It’s currently 41 degrees in downtown Newark, but that chilly breeze is making it feel about five degrees colder. So, a warm jacket is certainly a good idea before stepping outside.

The good news is that we won’t stay this cold all day. Once the sunshine gets going, temperatures will climb nicely into the 60s, making for a pretty comfortable fall afternoon across the region.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny, with a high near 66 degrees and calm winds.

Tonight, skies will remain clear, with temperatures dropping to around 45 degrees and a light west wind.

So, whether you’re attending Sunday service, spending time with family, or simply enjoying a little peace and quiet, make the most of this beautiful fall day.

Enjoy your Sunday, Jersey! ❤️
