Good morning, New Jersey—hope you’re enjoying time with family and friends as we continue this Thanksgiving weekend.

If you’re heading out early for work or holiday shopping, you’ll definitely need the layers.

It’s currently 31 degrees at Chester Avenue and Broadway in Newark’s North Ward, but the wind is pushing the real feel down to about 21 degrees.

Other parts of the region—Morristown, Haledon, Edison, Ocean Grove, and Montvale—are waking up to wind chills in the teens and even single digits.

We’ll still see some wind today, though not as intense as Friday’s gusts.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 43 degrees, with wind chill values between 25 and 35. Northwest winds are expected around 6 to 10 mph.

Tonight, clouds will increase as temperatures drop to around 33 degrees under calm winds.
