As Newark and the North Jersey region begin to wind down the workweek, residents are waking up to noticeably milder conditions this Friday morning.

At 4:30 a.m., temperatures hovered around 64 degrees in downtown Newark, creating a comfortable and slightly warmer start compared to earlier in the week.
The National Weather Service is calling for clear skies and wall-to-wall sunshine, offering locals a beautiful and calm day as we slide into the weekend.
According to meteorologists, today’s high will reach around 79 degrees, with light north winds becoming easterly later in the afternoon.
It’s the kind of day where a light jacket in the morning might be needed but can be shed by midday for a pleasant afternoon outdoors.
As we head into the evening, skies will remain partly cloudy, and temperatures are expected to dip to a low near 63 degrees, keeping things mild and dry for any Friday night plans.
Even better news? No rain is in sight through the weekend, making this a perfect opportunity to enjoy early fall events, outdoor dining, or a peaceful walk through Weequahic or Branch Brook Park.
Happy Friday, New Jersey
and make it a great one!
