According to information released by Essex County officials, a Pediatric Asthma Screening Event will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Bilal Beasley Community Center.

The event will offer free consultation and testing conducted by a pediatric asthma specialist.

Services will include medical consultations, physical examinations, breathing tests, and treatment recommendations for children who may be experiencing asthma-related symptoms.

Health officials say the goal of the initiative is to promote early detection and management of asthma, a condition that affects many children across New Jersey.

Early screening and proper treatment can significantly improve a child’s quality of life and help prevent serious complications.

Residents are encouraged to register in advance to secure a spot. Organizers emphasize that increasing access to preventative care is a key step in strengthening community health.
