Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella Spruill announced the arrest of Dr. Chike J. Aguh, 64, of Mulberry Court, Belle Mead in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in Franklin Township.
Prosecutor Robertson stated that on January 12, 2021, the victim reported to Franklin Township Police that she was sexually assaulted by Dr. Chike J. Aguh while attending a medical appointment within his practice in Franklin Township.
Police said the victim was interviewed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit and Franklin Township Police Department.
As a result of this investigation, Dr. Aguh was arrested and charged on January 13, 2021 at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office without incident.
Defendant Aguh was charge with 2nd degree Sexual Assault and 4th degree Sexual Contact. Defendant Aguh was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
