Four People Struck by Car Including Two Children in Bayonne on Halloween Night

Investigators are looking into an incident where four people were struck by a car that jumped a curb in Bayonne leaving one in critical condition on Halloween night.

According to a statement released by Mayor Jimmy Davis, two cars went through an intersection at 16th Street and Avenue C around 8 p.m. and collided, causing one car to jump the curb and travel about 75 feet on the sidewalk.

Mayor David said four pedestrians were struck by the vehicle, including two children, a young woman who was accompanying them, and a 26-year-old man.

According to Mayor Davis, the children, two boys ages 5 and 1, are hospitalized in serious but stable condition while the man is in critical condition, and the woman suffered minor injuries.

The drivers stayed at the scene according to Mayor Davis.

The incident remains under investigation.
