Four Injured in Separate Paterson Shootings

An investigation is underway into a night of gunfire violence that left three people injured in one location in Paterson and one person with life threatening injuries in another section of the city.

A vehicle riddled with as many as a dozen gunshot holes drove up to St. Josephs Hospital in Paterson with two victims shot, prompted hospital security to contact police.

The vehicle drove up to the emergency entrance of the hospital at around 2:30 a.m. that had two occupants suffering injury from gunfire, told police that they were shot at, multiple times in the 70's block of Chadwick Street shortly before speeding out of the area to the hospital.

Heavy police presence combed the 70's block of Chadwick where officers found one other person suffering a gunshot wound to the hand at that location.

None of the victims' injuries were reported to be life threatening.

A car that collided into several vehicles in the area of 11th Ave. and East 29th Street at around 4:30 a.m. had first responders rush to the scene where they pulled a male driver from

the vehicle reportedly suffering a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Medical staff at the scene performed several life saving tactics on the victim before transporting him to St. Josephs Hospital where his injuries was reported as life threatening.

Police are searching for the suspect/s responsible for the shootings.

The motives for the shootings are under investigation.

NOTE: There has been about 7 people shot in Paterson since Friday 12/18/2015 to Sunday morning 12/20/2015
