Police in Newark took several suspects in custody and charged them with receiving stolen property on Monday morning.
Officers spotted the vehicle at a location in the city's South Ward and noticed that several occupants bailed from the car in the 20's block of Ridgewood Avenue just before 1 a.m.
A brief pursuit and search had officers take the suspects into custody within several minutes.
Authorities have not confirmed if the suspects committed felonies around the county while occupying the stolen car.
The incident remains under investigation.
