Former Office Manager at a Randolph Dental Office Charged with Theft

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp announces that Sabra Aschenbrenner, 46, of Morristown, New Jersey, a former office manager for a dentist in Randolph, New Jersey, pled guilty today before the Honorable Stephen J. Taylor, J.S.C. to one (1) count of 3rd degree Theft by Unlawful Taking in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3a.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office received a referral of this matter from the Randolph Township Police Department which handled the initial investigation. Pursuant to an investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, Aschenbrenner was charged by accusation with having unlawfully taken and exercised control over financial bank accounts and credit cards belonging to her employer. The offense charged took place between February, 2010 and January of 2013.

As part of the plea agreement, Aschenbrenner has agreed to pay restitution of $75,000 and will face five (5) years of probation.
