Forecasters Predict Heavy Rain in Northern New Jersey

Elizabeth New Jersey

Forecaster are predicting heavy drenching downpours where several areas in Northern New Jersey will be at risk of flooding.

According to forecasters at Accuweather.com, gusty winds will continue across Northern NJ through the Tuesday morning commute and last until about the afternoon.

Forecasters are not expecting widespread severe weather but are reporting  that some of the more strong storms will have the potential to be damaging and disruptive.

Expect some power outages and localized flooding.

According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bernie Rayno, "The storms are moving, just not very fast and that will raise the risk of flash flooding."
