A foot pursuit for a suspect wanted for carrying a gun in Jersey City had police take a man into custody overnight.
Reports of an armed person sent police to the 80's block of Dales Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. where officers arrived at the scene to find a suspect matching the description according to reports.
Police attempted to question the suspect when he took off running reports said.
Officers chased the man for a short distance where the caught up with him and placed him under arrest.
The suspect was carrying a loaded gun with ammunition reports said.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
There were no injuries reported.
