Flying Bullets Strike House in Newark's West Ward

Newark Police officials are looking into the motive behind a shooting that caused property damage to a house in Newark's West Ward on Monday morning. 

Police say at approximately 2:53 a.m., a ShotSpotter Activation alerted offices of gunfire in the vicinity of 224 Brookdale Avenue. 

Officers arrived at the scene found that bullets struck the first floor of a home at that location. 

Police searched the home for injured victims, but no injuries were found. 

The suspects fled the scene and remain at-large.
