Florida Crash Kills Former Irvington Woman

An early Saturday morning car crash killed a former Irvington resident.

According to Florida State Police, Haneefah Miller, 38, of Deltona, died after crashing into a tree in Sanford.

Authorities said Miller was traveling north on Oak Drive near Riverview Avenue when she apparently drove off the road and into a wooded area.

Medics pronounced Miller dead at the scene after the front of her car struck a tree at that location.

A 29-year-old male passenger in Miller's car suffered serious injuries and is now hospitalized at an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
