Flash Flood Watch Issued for Parts of NJ

For a second day, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Thursday afternoon for the western and northern New Jersey.

The watch is in effect from 4 p.m. till Friday morning in counties such as watch as Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Salem and Somerset.

Thunderstorms could produce several inches of rainfall per hour.

Areas like Scotch Plains and Mountainside in Union County were among the areas affected by yesterday's watch.
