Firefighters Rescue Residents from Blazing Paterson Home, Seven Hospitalized

Paterson Police and firefighters responded to a fast-moving fire that significantly damaged a large house on Park Avenue.AHAShortly after midnight, emergency services were dispatched following numerous 911 calls about a fire at 272 Park Avenue.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames emanating from the rear of the building and quickly deployed several hose lines to combat the inferno.

Teams made a swift entry into the home to evacuate residents trapped on the second and third floors amid the rapidly spreading fire.

Their prompt action ensured that about seven individuals suffering from smoke inhalation were safely taken to the hospital for treatment.

The firefighting crews worked diligently, managing to bring the aggressive blaze under control by around 1 a.m.

In the aftermath, the American Red Cross assisted approximately 15 residents displaced by the fire, providing them with lodging, food, and other essential needs during this critical time.

The Paterson Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire as the community comes together to support those affected by this devastating event.
