Firefighters in East Orange quickly extinguished a car fire that ignited in a neighborhood in the city during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, the raging blaze ignited the car near the intersection of Eppirt Street and Central Avenue just after midnight.
Firefighters arrived and began battling flames coming from the vehicle's engine compartment and spread throughout the car.
Crews checked the vehicle to trapped and injured occupants, but there were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
