Firefighters in Irvington Township made swift work out of a fast-moving fire that ignited inside a home in the Township early Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, flames erupted inside a home located at 148 Madison Avenue at approximately 1:22 a.m.
Firefighters arrived at the scene found smoke and flames coming from the top level of a three-story siding framed house.
Crews were able to get inside the home and knock the small blaze down in under a half-hour. A search of the structure came back with no trapped or injured occupants.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
