Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm House Fire in Morristown

Morristown

Firefighters in Morristown battled a three-alarm fire that broke out inside a house in the city Monday morning.

Crews were dispatched to a house in the 60’s block of Ridgedale Avenue at approximately 1:10 a.m. to investigate reports of a fire with possible trapped residents.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and fire coming from a two and a half story house at that location.

Crews were able to make their way inside the home to search for victims, but there were no injuries reported.

Firefighters signaled a second, then a third alarm for manpower as they battled flames that continued to pour from the back of the home and began to extend to neighboring residences.

The fire was considered knocked down in about a half-hour with the cause under investigation.
