Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy smoke and fire pushing from the rear of the structure.

When crews made entry, they found the entire building engulfed in flames. Firefighters stretched multiple lines and performed a surround and drown effort to get the blaze under control in just over an hour.

According to Elizabeth fire officials, there were several small explosions inside the massive structure which were isolated to flammable liquids used to repair trucks inside the building.

One firefighter was transported to an area hospital for treatment but is expected to be ok.

A portion of the building collapsed due to the intensity of the fire and the age of the building, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
