A disturbance involving two individuals in the roadway caused traffic disruptions Sunday morning in Newarkâs Downtown.

Firefighters were initially sent to the area of Market Street and NJ-21 shortly after 7:15 a.m. on a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, responding crews determined there had been no crash.
Officials reported that two homeless individuals were engaged in a fight in the middle of the roadway, temporarily impeding traffic and causing delays for motorists.
Firefighters requested police assistance to the scene to address the situation.
No injuries were reported, and as of Sunday evening, no arrests had been immediately announced.

The incident was resolved without further reported complications.
