Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing that left one person injured in the city's South Ward early this evening.
A physical altercation that broke out and involved several people at around 4:30 p.m. sent police to the 20's block of Willoughby Street where officers arrived to find a male injured after being stabbed in the chest according to reports.
The victim was transported to the hospital suffering a non-life threatenieng stab wound and is expected to recover reports said.
The incident remains under investigation.
