The Fibromyalgia Care Society of America (FCSA) has announced that they are launching the nation's first Fibromyalgia Covid Rent Relief Assistance Grant Program.
When Milly Velez, the President of FCSA, saw the financial struggles that people were facing do to COVID-19 and realized how this inpact people who have Fibromyalgia, she knew she had to do something.
With the support of the FCSA board of trustees, she started the Fibromyalgia Covid Rent Relief Assistance Grant Program which will provide up to $2,000 to 3 eligible applicants.
In the first round, the grants will be awarded to 3 people in Cleveland, Ohio, New York City and Newark, New Jersey, who are living with or caring for someone who is living with Fibromyalgia and has lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The application is currently open and will remain open until Friday, January 8. Those who wish to apply can do so on their website.
