Jersey City authorities are investgiating the motive for a stabbing that injured a female early Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police on routine patrol were flagged down in near Martin Luther King Drive and Stevens Avenue where they found a female bleeding from her neck after being assaulted at that location.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where the extent of her injury has not been released.
There were no arrests reported.
