Federal and local authorities are renewing their efforts to locate 37-year-old Nazeer Hameed, who is wanted in connection with the 2017 murders of Sasikala Narra and her 6-year-old son, Anish Narra, inside their Maple Shade apartment.

According to the FBI, a reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to Hameed’s arrest and/or conviction. Investigators believe he is currently living in India.
The FBI’s Newark Field Office is assisting the Maple Shade Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office in the search for Hameed.
Authorities said he is wanted for his alleged involvement in the March 23, 2017 killings, a case that has remained open for nearly eight years.
On February 6, 2025, Hameed was charged in Burlington County Superior Court with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
A state warrant was issued for his arrest.
Hameed should be considered armed and dangerous, officials warned.
