Fatal Three-Vehicle Collision in NJ Claims Life of Young Driver

A violent collision  late Friday night, had a young man lose his life in a severe three-vehicle crash in Voorhees. 

Chicken Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal collision, which occurred on Haddonfield-Berlin Road near Lafayette Avenue.

According to the Voorhees Police Department, at approximately 10:08 p.m., police units were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a 2008 Honda, a 2024 Lexus SUV, and a 2016 Chevy Traverse.

The initial investigation revealed that the Honda, driven by a 22-year-old man from Berlin was speeding southbound on Haddonfield-Berlin Road when it collided with the Lexus SUV, operated by a 53-year-old resident of Atco. 

Crash

The impact caused the Honda to veer across the double yellow lines, where it then struck a Chevy Traverse head-on.

Police said the Traverse was traveling northbound and was driven by a 41-year-old Voorhees resident. Emergency response teams from Voorhees Police and Fire/EMS units were dispatched immediately to the accident site.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, marking a somber outcome to the high-speed collision.

Miraculously, the occupants of the Lexus SUV reported no injuries, while the driver of the Chevy Traverse was rushed to Virtua Voorhees Hospital.

The Traverse driver is currently in stable condition, receiving care for injuries sustained in the crash.

The Voorhees Police, in conjunction with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, are continuing their investigation into the crash.
