The Union County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of a fatal shooting in Elizabeth this evening.
Police responded to the vicinity of 2nd and Bond Street to investigate reports of shots fired around 8:35 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found a male suffering bullet wounds.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead a short time after the shooting
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
The incident is under investigation.
