The incident happened just before 10 p.m., prompting police to respond to reports of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a collision involving a vehicle with a person inside who had sustained a bullet wound to the head.
