Fatal Pedestrian Strike in Jersey City Prompts Investigation

Tragedy struck Jersey City on Saturday afternoon when a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle.

NinosThe Hudson County Prosecutor's Office was alerted to the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Marin Boulevard and 16th Street shortly before 4 p.m.

Upon their arrival at the scene, Jersey City Police immediately called for emergency medical services.

First responders discovered a severely injured pedestrian lying in the roadway, the victim of the vehicle strike.

Medical personnel rushed the unidentified individual to Jersey City Medical Center, where medical professionals tragically pronounced them dead a short time later.

As authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the accident, the incident remains the subject of an active and ongoing investigation.

At this time, no other injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Jersey City Police continue to gather details to shed light on this unfortunate event.
