Fatal NJ Turnpike Crash Under Investigation

Authorities from the NJ State Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead on the NJ Turnpike overnight.

The crash happened at around 12:15 a.m. near near exit 8 mile marker 69 in East Windsor/Hightstown where emergency responders were call to the scene for a crash with injuries.

Upon arrival to the scene, crews located the overturned vehicle with one person suffering serious injuries according to reports.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene reports said.

The crash blocked the left and center lanes causing heavy delays on the highway.

A crash investigation team spent over an hour trying to determine what caused the crash.

There were no other injuries immediately reported.
