Emergency responders are in the 500 block of North Walnut Street for a person that reportedly fell from a building a short time ago.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene after falling several stories AT AROUND 10 a.m. according to initial reports.
The circumstances behind the fall has not immediately been released.
Detectives from The Essex County Prosecutor's Office and East Orange authorities are actively investigating.
