New Jersey State Police officials are investigating an incident that occurred on the I-80 in Parsippany- Troy Hils that left one person dead on the highway this morning.
Authorities have not released many details regarding the incident, but according to preliminary reports from highway authorities, police conducted a crash investigation where they closed the left and center lanes of the highway just east of exit 47 shortly before 3:44 a.m.
Police arrived on the scene to find two vehicles involved in a collision with one person critically injured at that location.
The victim was later pronounced dead reports said.
Police are investigating what caused the incident.
