Fatal Injuries Reported in Browns Mills House Fire

There were severe injuries and at least one fatality reported in a fire that broke out in Browns Mill on Tuesday night.

According to fire officials, fire broke out inside a residence located in the 500 block of Willow Boulevard at approximately 8:45 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they observed heavy flames coming from the garage of the structure.

Crews were immediately made aware that at least two people resided in the home and were unaccounted for.

Firefighters made entry into the residence and reportedly found hoarding conditions and two unconscious victims in a bedroom.

The victims were pulled from the structures then handed over to EMS who transported them to an area hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed at least one fatality while the second person suffered life-threatening injuries.

Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in about an hour with the cause under investigation.
