Fatal Injuries for NJ Turnpike Crash in Cranbury

Authorities are investigating a fatal three vehicle crash that happened on the Turnpike overnight.

First responders rushed to the northbound side of the NJ Turnpike near mile marker 70.9 in Cranbury shortly before 8 p.m. on reports of a multi-vehicle crash with multiple injuries.

According to police, a Chevy Malibu struck the rear of a Ford Escort causing the Escort to lose control and strike a guardrail.

A rear passenger in the Ford, later identified as Milagro Aceituno, 21, of Baltimore, ejected from the vehicle and then hit by a a third vehicle,a Mercury Sable.

Aceituno was pronounced dead just after 10:30 p.m.

A total of five others were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
