Middlesex County officials and The Occupational Safety and Health Administration have launched an investigation into a worksite incident that caused fatal injuries inside a factory in Cranbury.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 3 a.m., police and EMS rushed to the 286 Prospect Plains Roads to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person suffering severe injuries after being injured inside the large warehouse.
Police EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Investigators have not released the circumstances surrounding the incident, but sources said the person was crushed by one of the machines inside the facility.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
