Police in Ridgewood are on the search for a driver that struck a pedestrian on a street in the village on Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police and EMS were called to the teens block of Ridgewood Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. after receiving reports of a person struck by a car.
Emergency responders arrived to find the victim suffering severe injuries at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
