A fatal head-on crash on Interstate 78 in Somerset County has police investigating.
According to authorities, police responded to I-78 near milepost 40.8 in Warren Township early this morning for a report of a crash.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle that was traveling west on I-78, veered of the road and slammed into an SUV.
Police say the driver was transported to Overlook Medical Center in Summit, where he was pronounced dead at 7 a.m.
According to authorities, the other driver was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
