Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Parsippany-Troy Hills

Authorities in Morris County investigated a crash that caused fatal injuries on a highway in Parsippany-Troy Hills on Tuesday night.

According to preliminary reports, police closed off the westbound lanes of Route 46 Westbound at Baldwin Road due to traffic crash investigation in which one person was pronounced dead at the scene just before 9:20 p.m.

Firefighters were called to the crash scene to extinguish a car fire, but it is not clear if any other victims were seriously injured in the crash.

Police diverted traffic north onto Baldwin Road and then West onto Vail Road, according to police.

Authorities say Route 46 was reopened at around 10:50 p.m.
