Police confirmed fatal injuries in a violent crash that occurred early Wednesday morning in Fairview.
According to police, the Bergen County Prosecutor's office are looking into the cause of the single-car collision that had the vehicle strike a pole on Broad Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Police say the collision caused severe damage to the car, trapping the driver and killing the passenger inside. The driver was charged with DWI.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
There were no other vehicles involved, according to police.
